FAJARDO

Since embarking on his first tour of the Iberian Peninsula in 2009, his career has only matured into something indispensable. Projected through several singles and splits—most recently with singer-songwriter Arico, where they revisit Canarian folklore—an EP, and three albums, his latest release is “Intuición,” from late 2021. Fajardo has developed a diction and (lack of) control over his own voice that is beyond any comparative reach. The Majorero has set everything aside and is capable of enveloping his own body, placing words in the service of songs that seek truth everywhere. From visceral intensity to the deepest delicacy, Fajardo’s voice beautifully and necessarily shapes his own compositional stamp.
