Vintage pop, echoes of Jeanette, cosmic folk in the yé-yé tradition, and Françoise Hardy with Anton Newcombe riding on the dog from Adventure Time. When Iman Amar and Ana Valladares broke out, a little more than a year ago with their hit single ‘Charlotte’ the Andalusians unconsciously bore a hole into a particular microuniverse full of sensual postmodern images and brilliant spasms of traditional poetry. And thus, in an unpremeditated way, the phenomenon was conceived, a micro earthquake sweetly shaking the heart of the independent scene. The music of Adiós Amores has continued to grow in slow motion ever since then, single by single (they already have six), while the band has remained relatively discreet, harbouring the conviction that its secret lies in the personal magnetism that the project’s architects exude. A genuine “what if?” with Las Grecas functioning as spies infiltrating Paris’s Fashion Week. #pop #retro #psychedelia #fashion
