Behind the artistic name BOYE is the actor, stage creator, and singer David Menéndez, who musically burst onto the scene in 2019 with the EP “Boye, te queremos pero no eres nadie”, an exciting debut blending genres—hip hop, funk, electronics—with a cheekiness bordering on insolence. The ambitious “Veni Vidi Vici” foreshadowed what “NA” would bring, almost a Spanish Jovanotti, and “Drama Queen”, a duet with Killin’ Cactus, moving between bossa, lounge, and Cruz Cafuné: the feeling we’re witnessing an unbound artist.
