A worthy (and very young) heir to Ian Curtis, or Poch, the Asturian Fernando Romero, to whom we also owe that masterpiece of national bedroom pop called “Croma 9”, shows in his “other band” that he is a gifted composer capable of penning songs falling between the most innocuous nocturnality and the dreamiest wakefulness. “Insecto”, his portentous debut LP, deserves absolute celebration as one of those treasures on our scene yet to be discovered, and enjoyed.
