“Mil caballos”, the single with three tracks with a stronger flamenco scent and less electronics than one might expect, has returned us in 2023 to that Gitano de Palo we got to know two seasons ago and which pleasantly surprised us with his “Princesa gitana”. Kiko Evia may not have been born in Jerez de la Frontera, nor in Sevilla, nor in Granada, but he attended high school in his native Coruña with the gypsies of the Elviña neighborhood, his father played El Luis cassettes in the family car, and once he moved to Barcelona, he fully immersed himself in rumba.
