As if trap crossed paths with new wave in a retro cinema, projecting synthesizers and attitude in abundance, this trio of aces emerges, having the rhythm of the past but the pulse of the future. Igotz Mendez aka Hofe, and Xabier Lafuente and Marcos Galech (both 4:40), already knew each other from the Nibbass collective days, a reference in the underground scene of Euskal Herria. Now, working on new music and releasing singles like their recent “Gremlin” with Nueve Desconocidos and Kiliki, HOFE x 4:40 continue to experiment with the boundaries of electronics.
