Adolescent irreverence and plenty of polo punk evoking Fred Perry, who once breathed life into Los Nikis’ songbook. Heirs, almost unconsciously, to bands like Beat Happening, Swell Maps, and even Pavement, Hogar‘s strong point is their total lack of any interest in transcending the sounds of the guitar. Feverish, addictive and tremendously pop at their core, these guys are like a lo-fi, inebriated version of Carolina Durante. That is, the perfect band to lure youth away from their cravings for reggaeton. #punk
