Irene Garrido has been at Monkey Week twice: once as part of shego, that band destined to shine in the world of patriotic pop rock; and another, as Irene Garrido, her solo alter ego, but in that atypical mode of streaming imposed by the pandemic. At that time, still a bit tongue-tied, the Alicante-born singer based in Madrid was already, nevertheless, attracting attention for her charisma and her songs. The last one, the playful “Contéstame la historia” (Answer the story for me), more than confirms the power of seduction that many of us already sensed.
