Just one song, the deliciously hypnotic “Vampirillos” (Little Vampires), was enough for Juan Fernández-Savater, the guitarist in Párpados, to carve out a place for himself, ipso facto, on playlists, webzines and yes, also in our brains, with his new personal project. “Alicia”, his second single, reveals to us another side of him, perhaps more intimate but no less mesmeric. Where there were synths, now there are some winds. but the immediacy with which the melody sneaks in, wherever it does, is still there.
