Getting entangled in “Hilanderas” (Spinners), the fantastic second album by María de la Flor after the no-less-appealing EP “Temple”, means getting lost in the aromas of tradition to discover a contemporary voice. Because, beyond the exercise in recovering sounds, of a way of understanding songs reminiscent of icons to always be revered (from María Dolores Pradera to Amancio Prada), the Carabanchel native has her own discourse as personal as it is beautiful… and necessary.
