MEMOCRACIA

The shiny winners of the Mad Cool Talent 2023 contest come from Burgos and are called Memocracia, a punk-rock sanctuary born from chaos. Despite their tumultuous beginnings back in 2015, they were sculpting their identity with powerful chords and distortion. 2019 saw the group’s defining roar with “Ha Partido” (It Has Left). But there’s no room for conventions here: Memocracia chose to record the album live, seeking that raw authenticity of concerts, that unfiltered sound that captures us. Last year they surprised us with their latest album: “Que alguien haga algo” (Someone Do Something). A testament that in music, perfection sometimes lies in the imperfect.
