A song like “Mákina de churros” (Churros Machine), their latest release, could only have been birthed in the current scene by this prodigious duo from Zaragoza. Samuel and Mario, Mario and Samuel, equally significant in their dynamic duo. Audacious, utterly free, Rosin de Palo —with the invaluable collaboration of that unofficial third member, the producer Cosme Pelotilla— are undoubtedly one of the most eccentric and unique bands of our scene. They’re also one of the most fun: like their music, their concerts are pure experimentation. And pure joy. “Great pizzicatos and frenetic rhythms,” they say. Amen.
