Tutored by no one less than the master Gerardo Núñez, this Lebrija native has earned, with his guitar and a handful of albums ― “Varekai”, “Galeano” and “Miesencia”, as conceptual as they are brilliant ― a well-deserved and prominent place among the new set of flamenco stars who transcend, to say the least, the traditional canon. “My way of approaching music is not conventional, it is risky, and this entails that it may not be liked or accepted, which is something that I respect and accept with humility”, he explained on one occasion. Now that’s the attitude of a bold and upright artist.
