SOFÍA COMAS

Although the Madrilenian’s vigorous folk fragility had already turned heads with her project Tucan Morgan, a recommended experimental electronica quartet, it was after the release of her heart-breaking album El verano será eterno that we could definitely speak of Sofía Comas as a master songwriter. Because she knows how to turn out songs upon which the dangerous “world music” label might be placed, with resounding frankness and sensitivity, and from so deep down that we could almost speak of a prodigy student of Lisar Gerrard. #folk
